My name is Chelsea Ward. My Chinese name is Weng Qian Qian. I’m from South Carolina and I’m a member of Duncan College. I’m majoring in Asian Studies, because I think Chinese culture is very interesting and learning Chinese is very fun! My favorite sports are running and volleyball, and everyday I go to yoga class at the Rice recreation center. On the weekends, my boyfriend and I often go out to eat and go to concerts. My favorite restaurant in Houston is “Confucious Seafood.”

My name is Jun Jian. My parents are from Hong Kong, but I am from Boston. I am currently a student at Rice University studying Bioengineering. After I graduate I want to design hospital equipment. My Chinese name is Ke Aihua. I was born in Ohio, but now I live in Washington state. My dad is from New York and my mom is from Beijing. I am a sophomore student at Rice University, and I am a member of Hanszen College. My major is Chemical Engineering but I’ve also taken four semesters of Chinese. I am a fan of music, and I really like going to concerts. When I have free time, I like to play piano, play badminton, or go hiking.
